Solent Sailing Skippered Yacht Charters

With all our charters, we provide a professional skipper and any additional required crew.

Reasons why skippered charters are popular:

Want to celebrate a special occasion on a yacht without the responsibilities of skippering
Don’t have sufficient experience to skipper a yacht yourself
Want to charter a yacht yourself (Bareboat) but haven’t sailed in the Solent before
Wish to experience sailing for the first time
Are a ‘rusty’ skipper who wants to ‘get back into it’
Want to go further afield for the first time and require some extra support, maybe a channel crossing, night sailing, or round the island

Your skipper will be happy to oversee your skippering of the yacht or quietly sail the yacht for you while you and your crew sit back and enjoy the experience.

Please note that when you elect to sail more than one day, you are responsible for overnight costs, either a berth on the boat or a B&B room ashore for the skipper. We can help you budget for Marina fees and provisioning of the yacht on your initial enquiry.

Solent Sailing is based at Premier Marinas, Gosport, home to the Clipper Round The World fleet and hundreds of years sailing heritage. The marina is located very close to the beautiful uncluttered Solent so whichever experience you choose you will spend more time sailing and less time motoring back to the marina.
